Injured when digging up land for the geo heat pump

There had been a landline and the ground had given way

There is potential for accidents in every professional no matter the scope of work. In the Heating and A/C profession especially, there is potential for minor and at times actually serious accidents. On a site visit to a customer’s house, I almost got buried alive when there was a sudden landslide at the pit where the geo heat pump was to be fitted. I had arrived with my team of actually qualified Heating and A/C techs but it was raining. The customer had requested that the people I was with and I purchase a modern heating unit from the heating corp which the people I was with and I did. Her ancient heating and air condition unit had malfunctioned just when Winter was starting. The homeowner had explained that she had researched to find the most suitable electric gas furnace for her premises. She told us that she had looked at strange central gas oil furnaces and decided upon the ductless Heating and A/C that would be below the earth and would supply booth warmth and cooling in Summer and Winter respectfully. She also wishes to have the oil oil furnace and space oil furnace as she thought that since they were smaller than most units, they were easier to operate. All of us explained that though it was the case, these units were not capable of serving her entire home. As the people I was with and I proceeded to gig up the earth and do the boiler installation, the ground shook and the next thing I knew, I was laying in the hole with dirt all over me. There had been a landline and the ground had given way. I just got minor bruising however I was actually shaken… Luckily this system did not need as much oil furnace/heat tune-up and so the people I was with and I proceeded to supply the pamphlet showing the energy saving help tips and the wireless thermostat.
