The other day when I was walking downtown, I found a wallet on the ground.
I picked it up and looked through it to find the ID.
The wallet was loaded with cash and had a bunch of credit cards as well. I figured this guy who lost his wallet had to be freaking out trying to find it. I was honestly surprised the wallet was still there. I guess with the way people are around the city, they don’t pay attention to much of anything that is happening around them. That’s the way most people are these days, caught up in their own little worlds. Well, I ended up going to the address on the wallet. I saw an HVAC truck in the driveway and I figured this guy was probably having some work done on his HVAC equipment. I was surprised when the guy ended up telling me he was an HVAC technician. I gave him his wallet and he asked where I found it. I let him know it was downtown and then he put his hands on his face and said he knew it might have been down there. He said he was working on a commercial HVAC system down there and he was in a rush to another job after that. Things like losing something important to you tends to happen when you are in a rush like that. The guy was happy to find nothing missing and then he said he wanted to make it up to me. I didn’t actually want anything, but he insisted. He ended up installing a UV air purification in my house for no charge and no strings attached. Now that was a nice guy!
