First I started with the roof, because I felt that a hefty roof would help in the future stages of renovation, remodeling, and construction.
This property was regularly going to be a fixer upper, and I knew that when I was first going in… It was in a fairly fantastic location, for a fairly wonderful price, however the structure itself was pretty much a dump. It wasn’t anything like buying a dwelling the way other people actually think of it. It was basically like buying a car at the junkyard and then rebuilding it. I obtained the arena, and I knew it would take many years before I would be able to transport into it for good. If I happened to be a rich man, this would be so much easier to handle. With enough cash I could just reach out to a general business and tell them what I wanted to have completed, and then pay them. I can’t do that. Buying the arena easily wiped me out financially, so the building and remodeling would have to be handled relatively slowly, over time, as I could afford the materials. First I started with the roof, because I felt that a hefty roof would help in the future stages of renovation, remodeling, and construction. It would be the only way I could actually keep the remainder of the construction materials dry and safe from the weather while I was doing work. It took a couple of weeks to patch up the roof, and a few more weeks to fix the things I personally broke, however finally the construction of the roof was easily finished. From there on out I followed the pattern of plotting out my next construction project, seeing a good amount of Youtube tutorials to learn exactly what I needed to know, and then buying the materials.
