Last winter, the HVAC technician told me I needed a new furnace before the next season.
My air conditioning unit was as old as my furnace.
I was trying to decide if I wanted to get a new furnace, or an entire HVAC system. In the next couple years the AC unit was going to act up and I would need a new one. Would it be cheaper to replace the entire HVAC system now, or should I wait? My wife and I were trying to figure this out, and she brought up another question. If we had to replace the HVAC, what would stop us from buying something different. We didn’t need to have a central HVAC system. They had all different types of heating and air conditioning. She thought about a heat pump. We looked up information on the heat pump and found out that it didn’t work really well when the temperatures were below freezing. I wasn’t sure if this would be the right fit for us. I also looked into getting a boiler, but that wouldn’t solve our air conditioning problems. Then my wife came up with the ductless HVAC system. It worked on the same idea as the heat pump. From what I read, that was almost like a heat pump. The ductless HVAC supplied both heating and air conditioning. We wouldn’t need the ductwork, and there was no maintenance. The ductless HVAC seemed perfect for our home. I called the HVAC company and inquired about the ductless HVAC. I asked them to come to the house and measure up and give me a quote on the work and the equipment.
