Some people love the great outdoors.
I am not one of those people. Everytime I step outside I have all kinds of bad luck. I’ll get bitten by mosquitos, have my car pooped on by birds, and the weather seems to always turn at the worst of times. I don’t mind nature, but I prefer to keep my distance and watch from inside my home. Part of the reason why I’m not an outdoor person is bad camping experiences. I have been camping twice in my life, once as a child and once as an adult and both times it didn’t end well for me. It was so hot outside I could have been standing in front of my furnace, and the humidity didn’t help the heat. There were bugs everywhere and I got rained on on more than one occasion. My friend who I went with was disappointed that I didn’t have a good time. She is one of those types that is always outdoors doing stuff, and while I know getting out more would be healthier for me I would still prefer to stay indoors and enjoy the cool air from my a/c. I can stream my favorite TV shows under the wonderful air vent and have the temperatures set to where I want them on the thermostat instead of having to worry about the unpredictable weather outdoors. My heating and air plays an important role in my comfort and I like simply being able to raise or lower the thermostat. She can enjoy her outside time and I will happily stay here and enjoy my time inside.
