In a few months my husband and I are going to start trying for a baby.
I am ready mentally.
I also have enough money and a good house to have a baby in. Physically I am worried about having a child. I am a very physically fit person. I do a tumbling based work out six days a week. On the last day I do something cardio related like jumping rope, swimming or riding my bike. I make it a point to do thirty minutes of cardio, ten of weightlifting and ten of stretching. I also do other physical things just for fun. I will bike to the grocery store, kayak around the lake or simply take walks through town. I like being on my feet and looking good. When a woman is pregnant, there are some limitations. I know that there is a point where a woman’s heart rate shouldn’t get too high. I also know restrictions on how much weight she can lift start to happen. Eventually my belly will be big to the point that working out will be hard. I am really dreading that aspect of the pregnancy. Any work out class I see for expecting women looks disappointing too. Where is the cardio? Where are the weights? I don’t want to gain a bunch of weight and not lose it after the baby comes. I don’t want to get out of shape. I think that is just going to be what happens though. I don’t see myself at 8 months going for runs and doing leg lifts.
