There are HVAC scammers going around the neighborhood

We have been having these annoying HVAC scammers going around our neighborhood lately.

I feel like this is a really weird kind of thing to try and scam people about, but I guess times are hard and people are just trying to do whatever they can to survive these days.

Even so, I think it’s weird to try and trick someone into having you upgrade their heating and cooling system for them. Yesterday, I was talking to one of my elderly neighbors and she told me what the HVAC scammers had said to her. Apparently, they are out there targeting older people and they are telling them that they want to help them improve their indoor air quality by giving them some kind of special UV light air purification system that will run in tandem with their existing heating and cooling system. My neighbor said that this guy really seemed like he wanted to get inside of her house but she wouldn’t let him in. I told her that was pretty smart of her because this guy probably wanted to scout out her house in order to rob her later on! I think that these days, it’s very important to only do business with certified HVAC technicians and HVAC companies who are licensed and insured. It doesn’t hurt to make sure that they have great reviews from their previous customers, either! Make sure that you don’t fall victim to an HVAC scammer. You should also make sure that you warn your older family members and neighbors about these people pretending to want to help you with your indoor air quality.
