Patchy temps are killing my work

I’m honestly worried about getting fired right now. My boss is so tired of my missed deadlines and overall incompetency lately, and I don’t blame him. I mean, I can’t get my work done to save my own life right now, and it’s entirely because of my failed heating, cooling, and air quality control system. I get it, what can my furnace and AC unit have to do with my job, you ask? Well, working from home makes my HVAC system and job intricately linked. Especially when I have so many hot and cold patchy areas in my home that I can’t think straight. Not only is it incredibly distracting to have hot and cold air regularly fluctuating throughout the house, but the HVAC equipment itself is a huge distraction. I’m not happy with using unreliable air conditioning units and forced air furnaces, and I fear that problem goes even further. All the way to my ductwork. I figure, either my heating, cooling, and air quality control system has not been operating at the same level of power and efficiency… or my air ducts are ruined. Both of which will be expensive professional HVAC repair services. No matter what I do, my thermostat changes are never enough to offset the hot and cold indoor temperatures. Right now I fear poverty by way of heating and cooling plan breakdown or full air duct replacement. If my environment could just stabilize, maybe I could get enough work done to call the local heating and cooling technician for help… if these hot and cold patches can ever be removed from my home, maybe I’d actually complete my tasks for work.
