The first place to start is making sure the Heating and A/C woman comes out and tunes up the heat pump prior to the heat setting in
Ah the fleeting last vestiges of Winter time are upon us. For much of the country that has to be a actually welcome set of circumstances. And I can’t say as I blame them. If I had to deal with month after month of chilly un-even temperatures and all that snow, I’d be ready for Spring myself. Where I live, it’s just not the same sort of circumstances. Winter time is simply a respite from the heat. All of us don’t have all that Heating and A/C heating with oil furnaces and all that. Shoot, the Heating and A/C heat pump hardly even comes on to knock the chill of a afternoon. That’s our kind of winter. But, it’s not as though both of us get off scott free when it comes to weather. There’s a tradeoff there and it’s the heat & humidity. Come about the first few weeks in May, the Heating and A/C cooling will start kicking on. Just as so much of the rest of the country will be cheerfully thawing out, we’ll be starting up the Heating and A/C cooling. It’s not too bad at first. But by June, that heat and humidity is thick. Most are retreating to an Heating and A/C cooled place indoors while in the peak heating hours. But left unevaluated, Heating and A/C cooling can cost a woman a bundle. It doesn’t have to be that way if you’re willing to get a bit proactive and stay a bit disciplined. The first place to start is making sure the Heating and A/C woman comes out and tunes up the heat pump prior to the heat setting in. This will ensure that the heat pump is operating at its most efficient. Then it’s seal up the home and keep the control unit at a reasonable setting.
