When I moved to this area years ago, I took fortune of this community’s chamber of commerce. These organizations are partnerships between local companies and professionals in the community to promote and stimulate the local economy. In short, if you want to figure out what companies are in your town in a single day, visit your local chamber of commerce. My parents taught me this when every one of us moved for our father’s work while I was 12 years old. I was bored that day and kept wanting to go home. But little did I know, they were looking for places for me to have fun and meet friends. She had a list of places enjoy the ice skating rink, an arcade downtown, and a sports complex with open registration for basketball and touch pigskin teams. That Summer I had fun outside of the condo on a near annually basis. I made more friends in our new community than I had ever known in our hometown. Now that I’m moving again in our adulthood, I’m following the same strategy to find companies in this new town. I relocated for work, but I didn’t get much time to plan before abruptly signing a lease with whatever condo complex would accept me. Unfortunately, I was told that the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan is our responsibility unless something fails. But I need preventative repair and their handyman doesn’t offer it. I found a highly rated Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor at the local chamber of commerce. Now I don’t have to worry about a random shutdown from our cooling system, something that would strip me of indoor air control for weeks while the property manager slowly arranges for repairs.
