Until last week, I didn’t know anything about the heat pump in my home.
I had a coupon for routine maintenance appointments and I decided to call the contractor to make an appointment.
I told the guy that I had a heat pump and he asked me when the last time was that I had it serviced. He had a strange sound in his voice when I told him that I lived in the house before years and I never had the heat pump service. He told me it was a good thing that I called to make an appointment. He confirmed that I could use the coupon for this particular service. The maintenance technician performed a 51 point inspection service tune-up on the heat pump and the air compressor. The maintenance technician asked me if I was experiencing any problems, but I couldn’t think of anything in particular. I told the guy that I found a coupon for the tune up service and thought it was a good idea. The maintenance technician told me that the heat pump needed a new reversing valve. He said that he was very surprised that the heat pump was working properly due to the condition of the reversing valve. He had to run back to the repair shop to pick up another one, but he was back in less than 30 minutes. The guy didn’t waste any time making the repair or finishing the tune-up. I didn’t know much about my heat pump until that appointment, but I stood there and watched the guy perform the whole service. Now I feel a little more knowledgeable.
