Fall in water makes us grateful for warm hotel room

Manatees are my preferred creature; I have loved them since I was a little kid.

So of course I took the choice to go kayaking with a choice of seeing the manatees, however my spouse and I booked a nice hotel and after that I rented a kayak the genuinely next morning.

It was one of the kayaks built for many people. I thought this would be a lot of fun, well it was a lot of fun…at first. We saw 2 manatees and after that I were heading down another inlet to look for more when my spouse leaned over too far in the kayak and both of us fell in. I have never been so freezing in all of my life! We were able to right the kayak and beginning rowing back to the dock, and by the time both of us got back I couldn’t believe my arms or legs and I’m pretty sure hypothermia was starting to set in, then at the dock they wrapped us in those tinfoil blankets and warmed us up somewhat in the office, then they had the gas furnace blasting away. We also purchased some tourist clothes so both of us could change. But I didn’t get truly warm until both of us drove back to our hotel… Once in our hotel room both of us turned our gas furnace on as tepid as it would go, took a tepid shower, and then crawled under the cover. With the heater, and the warm clothes, both of us both ended up falling asleep. We woke up about 2 hours later and entirely felt hot. We had to turn the thermostat down to a more acceptable setting.
