Working the “on call” shift is terrible

Have you ever had an unpredictable schedule? If you ask me, there has nothing more frustratedting than living an adult life & being unable to control your own time.

I have struggled with this a lot in previous positions when my co-workers have been strenuous to toil with, you never know when we are going to get information to complete projects & crucial assignments.

That makes it strenuous to ever control your own life here in my new position things are not much better. When I got into the heating, cooling, & ventilation industry I really thought that I would have amazing control over my monthly schedule. I would be dispatched to heating & cooling appointments throughout the day & I could option & choose which a/c repairs or forced air furnace maintenance services I wanted to attend. I was wrong about how the heating & cooling industry works. I am not allowed to choose which central heating & cooling maintenance appointments I attend. In fact, I don’t even know when a new a/c maintenance job or furnace troubleshooting appointment is headed my way, but since I became a certified Heating & A/C serviceman I have been laboring in the on-call shift for a local heating & cooling dealership. This means I am constantly waiting for air quality disasters. I am at the mercy of people’s broken heating & cooling equipment every day. I never know when I am going to have to run out the door to be the emergency Heating & A/C maintenance serviceman where some little seasoned man or family of single parent children. My job is so stressful waiting for Heating & A/C failure each day… & so is my life.
